Breaking Boundaries Highway’s Melanie Lowe Relocates

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend
Highway's very own, Melanie Lowe, who has steadily been carving a name for herself in the music industry as a successful singer/song writer and performing artist, will be relocating at the end of this month to Johannesburg.

The past few years since finishing in the Top 3 of SA s first Idols, has been an eventful, challenging and also inspiring road. Long before Idols, Melanie dreamed of a place in the music industry, writing songs since the age of about 14, learning to play on an old, cheap guitar bought for her as a child for R5.00, and developing her singing skills since the age of 5.

Always aware that Idols would just be a stepping stone in the music industry, albeit a huge one, Melanie has worked tirelessly since finishing in the Top 3, performing all around around SA, taking her music to her fans everywhere. A proudly groomed ’Durbanite’, the move to Johannesburg will be a difficult one, leaving family and friends behind, but Melanie sees it as an important step. Having toured repeatedly in provinces such as the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Free State, and all around KZN, the time has come to focus for a while on the Johannesburg area.

According to Melanie, she will always be a Durban Girl , and she is definitely an uncompromisingly loyal Sharks supporter!

However, before she leaves, her fans will have a chance to see her performing at the Luna Lounge, at the Tastes of Africa Restaurant, 6 Clement Stott Road, Bothas Hill, on Friday evening, 27 June.
