Swimming World cup braces Durban shores

The FINA/Arena Swimming World Cup will be held at the Kings Park Aquatic Centre in Durban between October 16 an 17.

Durbanites and swimming enthusiasts will enjoy the best of swimming talent. Among them is double short course breaststroke world record-holder Cameron vander Burgrh, who heads a list of top SA swimmers that will be looking to see a strong international challenge.

Bollywood Idols Challenge Showcases Local Talent

Veteran show and film producer, Pinky Mothie, in conjunction with the Women’s Cultural Organisation, is staging one of the biggest cultural events at the Playhouse Theatre on Saturday 11 October 2008 at 7pm.

Total proceeds of the show will be utilised in promoting local talent to reach their goal in becoming movie stars. Bollywood Superstars incorporating Bollywood Idols will feature aspiring South African movie stars acting, dancing and modelling on a professional level.

Way-out costumes, lighting and technical effects will enhance the performance of every idol appearing in their respective category. Performers chosen will appear in a national final where producers and directors will choose the cast for Pinky Mothie’s third movie.
