Tom Foolery on the Highbury stage

The Highbury senior Primary boys put on a wonderful performance of "Tom and Huck" recently.

The cast was accompanied by the choir and orchestra in this outstanding two hour performance of the classic, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.

Art in the hills

It was a weekend rich in art, music and creative diversity at the Makarenga Garden Lodge as the Kloof Rotary Club hosted its annual Music in the Hills.

This year the highly anticipated event included a breathtaking art exhibition that displayed the exceptional talents of local artists and allowed for members of the public to view and buy their work. In addition to this, out in the beautiful gardens guests were treated to top class music that included performances by the KwaZulu- Natal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Richard Cock and an appearance by the renowned Drakensberg Boy s Choir.

The event turned out to be a success that attracted avid art and music lovers from all over and proceeds will go to local charities.
